About

This day of free activities was created to introduce children with disabilities to the joys of fishing. Sponsored each year by Pacific Power and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, this day of free activities was created to introduce children with disabilities to the joys of fishing. Each elgible, registered child will be provided a rod, reel and tackle; then they are paired with a volunteer to help them hook the big one! While the fishing is intended for children with disabilities (there is not free fishing for volunteers or family members), accompanying families and guests are welcome to participate in games, educational booths, fun activities and a barbecue lunch.
