The DVHS Robotics Club provides extracurricular education in robotics and engineering to students. The club was founded in 2007 with the goal of inspiring interests in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Dougherty Valley High School Robotics Club offers a robotics summer camp in the Bay Area designed to introduce middle school students to engineering, coding, and hands-on STEM learning. Founded in 2007, our student-run organization has earned over 100 awards and consistently competed at world championships, bringing that same level of excellence to our summer programs. Our Bay Area robotics summer camp focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of robotics through VEX IQ, a beginner-friendly platform perfect for those new to STEM. Campers will learn how to design, build, and program robots in a collaborative and engaging environment, guided by experienced high school mentors. This robotics camp for middle school students is ideal for beginners looking to explore engineering and technology in a fun, supportive setting. Students gain problem-solving skills, teamwork experience, and a strong foundation that can lead into future robotics programs, including our yearlong novice and competitive teams. In addition to our summer camp, we also host an annual VRC tournament for Northern California teams, but our primary focus is providing one of the most accessible and high-quality robotics summer camps in the Bay Area.
