Welcome summer! Participate in a kid friendly fishing demonstration, and then enjoy the new nature play area at Gompers Park Lagoon! Join us for a fun day at Gompers Lagoon and Wetland on June 14, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Your family is invited to jump into summer with us! Let's play, learn, explore, chat, and welcome the summer season. We will meet at the new Gompers Nature Play Area to start, and then roll into the activities from there. Bring snacks or a picnic lunch and stay awhile. What to expect? This is an all-weather outdoor event. It will only be canceled if the weather is severe or dangerous. Please dress for messy outdoor play. No fishing experience necessary.
