About

A fun, free, educational community event to help foster better relationships between kids and dogs (and make your life a little easier too!) Sit Happens Dog Training & Behavior, LLC & the Your Family Dog Podcast are joining up to bring your family Kids Club! This event is for the whole family to help make relationships between kids and dogs (even if your family doesn't have one) safer and more fun. Kids between PreK and up are invited (and must be accompanied by an adult or guardian - pesky insurance). There will be no live dogs at this event. This month we will have a guest, Dr. Will, a retired veterinarian. He will be here to talk about what happens when your family pets come to the vet, what it's like to be a vet, and he will fix up stuffed animals that aren't feeling well, if you like! FAQ We are pulling together materials from a variety of organizations to create this fun, educational and enriching program for our community. Ages: Open to kids PreK and up, we will have activities for different age groups. Cost: Free. Parent resources: With summer upon us, lots of parents are thinking towards activities to keep kiddos learning and playing through the summer and we will feature some great resources for you! WHAT TO BRING: Your patience hat and sense of humor. A stuffie that needs some TLC (or is a faker who just wants Dr. Will's attention! Who are We? Tina has been the Southeast United States Regional Coordinator for Doggone Safe, an international dog bite prevention and victim suppor organization, since 2003. She's been a Family Paws educator since 2003, helping to prepare dogs for life with infants and toddlers. She is the owner of Sit Happens Dog Training & Behavior, LLC and the Your Family Dog Podcast, LLC, which has been around since 2016, helping make life with kids and dogs easier and way more fun! She as a foster parent to kiddos and is an adoptive parent and is now a grandparent. Eliza is a home school mom and new puppy owner with a newly 5 year old daughter who is helping keep the "Momma" in the program and helping all of us keep our sanity. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. [Eventbrite tags: Other, Family & Education, Class, Training, or Workshop, Training, Dog, Puppy, Kindergarten, Obedience]
