Now Enrolling 2.5-5 year olds in Seattle! Jose Marti Child Development Center El Centro de la Raza provides 43 programs and services for children, youth, families and seniors. Our programs are divided into nine different services areas and we can offer you as many programs and services as you are eligible for. We rely on people like you to donate, volunteer, advocate and support our mission in many different ways to help build the Beloved Community. There are endless ways you can get involved with us, so let us know what you’d like to do. Need space for your party, meeting or event? We have rooms and event space available for rent in our historic building and in our Centilia Cultural Center in Seattle, located next to the Beacon Hill Light Rail Station. Please book your event with us today! Founded in 1972, El Centro de la Raza is a voice and a hub for the Latino/a community in Seattle and King County. We have locations in Seattle (Beacon Hill) and Federal Way. Our buildings are open Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM for walk-in services. Many classes, workshops and programs are offered both in-person and remotely, so please check with individual programs for their specific hours and activities. Building the Beloved Community, undoing systemic racism and ending poverty are at the core of El Centro de la Raza’s mission. We believe that it is not the individual’s fault that they are in poverty and need assistance – it is systematic oppression that is the cause.
