ESSENCE Theatre is professional theatre and acting studio based in Brooklyn New York, presenting classical and contemporary productions, international projects, and educational acting programs for adults and children. Our aspiration is to engage audience in thought-provoking topics while emphasizing the importance of open communication, mutual respect and empathy, universal values and deep understanding of human nature and psychology. Our goal is to expand into the Grand Theater Art Center, where we could perform, teach and host multiple theatrical events. ESSENCE Theatre-Studio expresses gratitude for their support of its projects to public funds from the Decentralization Program of the New York State Council on the Arts and Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).
