Join us in the courtyard for story time with local illustrator & author Michael Slack, reading his new book series, Funjeepups Story time at Bookshop West Portal on Saturday, August 29th, will be welcoming a very special guest! Local author and illustrator Michael Slack! Meet the Funjeepups, three curious and adorable woodland critters, in this picture book series from the creator of Kitties on Dinosaurs. Young readers will be inspired to go on their own nighttime adventure alongside the Funjeepups in this light and funny series. Perfect for readers ages 3-7. Michael will read his two news books at 9:30. If the weather permits, we will gather on a rug out in our charming brick courtyard. If it's too chilly, we will move inside to the kids' section. There will also be bubbles, just for fun! Story time will be followed by a book signing. This event is FREE, and anyone and everyone is welcome! About the Author: MICHAEL SLACK is the author and illustrator of many books for young readers, including Kitties on Dinosaurs, Bunny Built, Shorty & Clem and Elecopter.
