About

It's never too late to learn how to ride a bike. Our instructor will teach kids, 5-13yrs, the techniques to get rolling. We're excited to get your child in the saddle! Here's a few things to consider: * Please arrive at 10:30am. This is a class that builds on skills, and we want everyone to learn together. * Be sure to report to the Bike Library at 1750 Pennsylvania Avenue, near the entrance along Hendrix Creek. * Accompany your child. Bring an official ID (government issued with photo & address) if you want to take out a bike while class is in session. We'll hold onto it until the bikes and helmets are returned. * For safety, every participant must wear a helmet (yours or ours). * For comfort, we recommend that our young cyclists wear sneakers and bring water. *Let your child know that everyone learns at a different pace and there is no right or wrong amount of time to get rolling. * Continue to encourage your child to practice cycling, once s/he has learned to pedal during class. It's best to make a reservation with the Bike Library on Thursdays-Sundays. * We know plans change! If you are unable to attend, please request a ticket refund so that someone else may take your spot. This program is made possible by Con Edison, Jamaica Bay Rockaway Conservancy, Natural Heritage Trust, and New York State Parks Recreation & Historic Preservation [Eventbrite tags: Cycling, Sports & Fitness, Other, Free, Cycling, Biking, Learntoride, learnhowtorideabike]
