And since our founding, RTKids has taught more than 25,000 students, sharing the joy of musical theater with these young people and their families, educators, and communities. “We’re rehearsing for life” is more than a slogan at Rosie’s Theater Kids. It’s our driving principle. The students of Rosie’s Theater Kids rehearse to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Rosie’s Theater Kids serves schools and students that need us most, primarily New York City Title I public schools, which are those with the largest percentages of students who are eligible for the Federal Free Lunch Program. Our experienced, caring, and thoughtful staff and teaching artists provide a thorough, well-rounded performing arts education while also focusing on academic excellence and building good work and study habits. Through the power of arts education, RTKids prepares its students for a lifetime of success. PS Broadway is our in-school program for fifth graders that introduces them to musical theater and artistic expression. Trained teaching artists and professional musicians lead this semester-long program that includes a weekly one-hour musical theater class, a private concert with a Broadway performer, and a final student performance. ACTE II is our year-round scholarship program for students in grades 6-12 that takes place at our Maravel Arts Center home and provides outstanding PS Broadway graduates with a [Google Places type: association or organization]
