Bring the whole family and kick off your Fourth of July with a joyful morning at Durham Central Park’s Independence Day Children’s Parade! Festivities start at 9:30 AM when families can gather to decorate bikes, trikes, wagons, and strollers with free supplies from The Scrap Exchange. Kids can also enjoy balloon fun, temporary tattoos, and face painting with Liv Love Paint. At 10:30 AM, the parade kicks off! March, roll, and stroll through the park in a celebration of creativity and community spirit. The parade ends with free popsicles for all participating kids and fire truck tours courtesy of the Durham Fire Department. And don’t leave hungry! After the parade at 11:30, The Glass Jug will be serving up hotdogs and drinks for kids and parents alike. It’s the perfect way to cool down and fuel up—first come, first served. Suggested Donations:Hotdog – $3Hotdog, Chips, and Watermelon – $5Two Hotdogs, Chips, and Watermelon – $8 All proceeds support Durham Central Park and help keep our events free and fun for everyone.
