UT Moody College researchers are recruiting youth for a study on graphic images in anti-tobacco ads. Participants receive a $20 gift card. Hello! Thank you for your interest in our study. We are a team of researchers in the Moody College of Communication studying how youth pay attention to hard-hitting images in messages about the risks of smoking. We show youth messages on computers that can follow their eyes and then ask them questions about what they saw. Youth ages 11 to 15 are eligible to participate*. The study takes about 20 minutes. Participants will receive a $20 gift card (e.g., Chick-fil-a, Walmart, Amazon). We will be at Brackenridge Community Center on Wednesday, May 13 from 4 - 6 pm. Youth must be accompanied by a parent who will give signed permission for them to participate. You can sign up for a specific time by clicking the "Check Availability" button. We will also accept walk-in participants. This study is approved by UT Austin's Institutional Review Board.
