Square dancing is for everyone! Square dance caller Jordan Ruyle calls at East Bay Square Dance for the first time! Round Top Stringband plays live old-time music! No experience necessary; no partner necessary. Kids welcome. The caller teaches each dance right before we dance it. New folks, and all folks, are invited to the beginner lesson at 7:45. Doors open: 7:30 pmBeginner lesson: 7:45-8:00 pmSquare dancing: 8:00-10:00 pm This is a queer-friendly event. Role-switching is encouraged. Wear dance shoes if you have them! No stiletto heels allowed.BYOB: You may bring beer and wine. No hard alcohol allowed. The jam is free. If you join the square dance, please contribute. This dance is organized by the Bay Area Country Dance Society (BACDS).
