Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Filipino American identity through vibrant music, dance, and storytelling! The Filipino Community of Seattle is proud to present Iskwelahang Pilipino (IP) of Boston and their acclaimed IP Rondalla for a special West Coast performance of "Musikang Kalipay" (Music of Joy). Experience a dynamic two-act production that brings Philippine folklore, contemporary history, and rich musical traditions to life with IP’s signature choreographed flair. An original production expanding upon the beloved children’s book Kalipay and the Tiniest Tiktik by Oakland-based author Christina Newhard (Sari-Sari Storybooks). Through narration and song, this musical beautifully weaves together: An energetic, high-octane celebration of over five decades of Philippine folk music tradition.
