About

Community Youth Ultimate Frisbee program introduces young people in grades 5-8 to the sport of ultimate frisbee and fosters a good "spirit of the game." Practices include basics of catching and throwing a disc, games focused on specific skills, and scrimmaging. The sport is self-officiated with a rule-of-the-day component. All genders play together at the middle school level, with some weeks playing other middle school teams from Greater Portland towns and in-house games. The program teaches fundamentals, provides a fun and child-centered environment, and aims to help participants grow emotionally, socially, and physically.
