Cheerful Beginnings is a two-part company: Julia's in-home daycare in South Pasadena, California. Beginnings are important. The first few years of children’s lives are so critical in setting them up for success. Providing a loving and caring environment, consistency, new experiences and the tools for learning proper behavior are all important before they even reach pre-school age. Young children learn to explore by having a safe and secure “home base” and by being encouraged to try new experiences. They learn to function in society by having boundaries on behavior and by seeing proper actions and thought processes modeled by the adults they love. They develop confidence when new skills are introduced and acquired at the age appropriate time. The "cheerful"comes easily. Both children and caregivers are relaxed and ready to laugh, show their love and be silly together. With basics down such as a daily structure and routine, and with clear guidelines and respectful communication, children will feel consistency in their world.
