Die Vorschule is a boutique German-immersion preschool in San Francisco’s Mission District for children ages 18 months to 3½ years. We support each child’s development through immersive experiences in the German language and culture, fostering emotional security and building responsive relationships with trusted adults and peers. By honoring each child’s unique needs and pace, we create a space where they feel safe to explore, express themselves, and grow. With over 16 years of experience grounded in child development, we understand how early relationships and experiences shape the developing brain and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Current research continues to affirm that the earliest years are critical in shaping how children think, feel, learn, and relate to others. Our small, mixed-age group setting allows us to provide close, individualized attention—one of the most powerful ways to support emotional security and holistic development in the early years. We are committed to a whole-child approach that nurtures wellness, emotional growth, and a strong sense of belonging. Everything in our environment is designed with intention—from the gentle rhythm of the day to the materials on the shelf to the language we use in conversation.
