Los Amiguitos provides immersion in Spanish as well as educational, physical, environmental and socio-emotional development, with an emphasis on nature and community. Los Amiguitos is an immersion, not a bilingual or dual language school: all instruction is done in Spanish. Children with all levels of language benefit from this program equally. We also offer after school care, spring and summer camps, nature outings and parents night out for all (ages 3 -13), as well as Spanish classes for adults (ages 16 +). Children are by nature curious and eager to learn and experience. Los Amiguitos strives to offer them an alternative education that meets their needs and enhances that love of learning and discovery. Activities are relevant, creative, meaningful and engaging to the children. We spend most of our day outdoors, which is the basis for a Nature–based education. We integrate many natural elements in our activities, and use Montessori materials to enhance children’s active learning. Our small school setting and focus on community building is a perfect stepping point for children entering school. We highly value diversity in families and staff, and strive to integrate a cultural rich focus Aftercare for non-Amiguitos students (ages 3-8) Open to non-Amiguitos children with the options of 2, 3 or 5 afternoons a week.
