Get ready to run, laugh, and enjoy some carnival fun all in one awesome day! Join us at the Kapnek Trust USA Family Fun Run, Walk and Carnival at Moraga Commons Park on Sunday, August 30, 2026 starting at 9:00am. This event supports early childhood education, nutrition and AIDS prevention programs for children and families in Zimbabwe. Along with a 5K run and a 1K children’s run/walk, event participants will be treated to a healthy brunch, carnival games, a rock wall and jumpy house, and live music by the Chinayakare Ensemble, an Oakland-based band that is dedicated to traditional Zimbabwean dance, music, and cultures. There will also be arts and crafts, and prizes for the top three finishers. Every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Dogs and strollers welcome!
