We are a mission driven business, focused on supporting the community in a positive way whether through engaging workshops, unique handmade items for purchase in our shop, or a fun pottery class where you can learn to create your own masterpiece. We also focus on a different yearly initiative to support the community outside our walls. (Follow the link for a news piece on last years initiative) Classes stress the importance of process over product, while in a small group setting. For wheel students this does involve some close physical interactions with each students hands and arms to show where and when to use your body to control the clay on the wheel. This is not meant to overstep any personal boundaries, but to better instill processes and techniques. While we welcome all those who want to learn, the root of this mission is championing individuals who have felt “out of step” with the world, lifting them up and giving them a space to create with confidence. All our wheel classes are beginner friendly, four- six weeks long, and go through all the steps from making, to baking, and everything in between.
