Looking for fun kids events in South Florida that are affordable, community-focused, and exciting for children? Join us for our monthly Toy Rescue Toy Swap, hosted at The Legacy Closet, one of the most impactful nonprofits serving families in South Florida. This family-friendly kids event brings together local parents and children to enjoy a joyful morning of play, music, and toy swapping — while helping keep toys out of landfills. The Legacy Closet has helped tens of thousands of families, and we are incredibly grateful they are opening their doors to host our Toy Rescue event every 3rd Wednesday of the month. A Toy Rescue is a community toy swap and kids play event where families can bring outgrown toys (optional) and children get to choose new-to-them toys to take home and enjoy. Instead of toys being thrown away, they get a second life with another child who will love them. At each Toy Rescue we set up hundreds of toys ready to be rescued and played with again. Kids love it because it feels like shopping for toys, and parents love it because it is fun, free, and community-focused. 🎈 Hundreds of toys ready for new homes🎵 Music, bubbles, dancing, and fun activities👧 Kids picking out “new-to-them” treasures🌎 A sustainability-focused toy swap that helps reduce waste👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 A welcoming environment for families and children Many parents tell us their kids don’t even care that the toys aren't brand new — they just love discovering new things to play with. Families are welcome to bring outgrown toys to contribute to the community table, but it is not required to attend. You can: • Bring toys ready to swap• Donate toys to be used at future Toy Rescue events Our volunteers will help clean, organize, and sort donations so they can continue bringing joy to families across South Florida.
