A hands-on homeschool program where kids explore science, nature, and local ecosystems through outdoor learning at WAWA. WAWA Wednesday Homeschool is a hands-on, outdoor learning experience designed for homeschool students and families. Hosted at the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance’s Outdoor Activity Center, this program runs from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM and invites youth to explore local ecosystems, watersheds, and environmental science through guided nature walks, interactive stations, and creative stewardship activities. Students engage in inquiry-based learning that supports science education while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a deeper connection to nature. Families are encouraged to learn alongside their children in a welcoming, community-centered environment. After the program, families are welcome to stay for lunch, making space to connect with other homeschool families and co-ops—an intentional part of the experience that supports relationship-building and community.
