Junior Fashion Lab™ Where creative kids learn to think like real stylist and designers! Teen Fashion Design & Styling Program Junior Fashion Lab™ is a hands-on creative fashion program designed for teens ages 13–17 who are interested in fashion design, styling, and creative production. Students work inside a real studio fashion lab environment where they learn how to build looks, develop fashion concepts, and experiment with styling techniques using thrifted and upcycled materials. This program introduces teens to sustainable fashion practices, creative storytelling, and the fundamentals of how fashion is developed behind the scenes. Students will learn how to turn secondhand garments and materials into original fashion concepts, while gaining exposure to real fashion tools used in professional studios. Students work inside a real studio fashion lab environment where they learn how to build looks, develop fashion concepts, and experiment with styling techniques using thrifted and upcycled materials. Participants will explore the creative process behind fashion styling and design including: • Fashion concept development• Storyboard creation and visual storytelling• Sustainable fashion using thrifted and upcycled materials• Styling mannequins and building cohesive looks• Wardrobe editing and creative styling techniques• Fashion presentation and visual merchandising basics Students will also practice working with real fashion studio equipment. Students will work inside a functioning fashion styling lab environment with supervised access to: • Styling racks and wardrobe racks• Dress forms and mannequins for styling• Professional garment steamers• Fashion hangers and styling tools• Vintage and thrifted wardrobe materials• Heat press equipment for customization• Sewing machines for beginner garment alterations• Storyboard and concept boards• Fabric swatches and textile samples Students will also have access to: • Makeup and grooming preparation area• Hair and styling station• Content and photography space for documenting looks During the program students will: • Build fashion storyboards• Create styled looks using thrifted materials• Practice fashion styling on mannequins• Experiment with heat press and customization techniques• Learn fashion vocabulary and styling language• Document their creative looks in a studio environment Students leave the program with portfolio-ready fashion concepts.
