Tweens in grades 3–8 are invited to a hands-on adventure at the library with archaeologist Michael Navarro! Participants will explore real artifacts, learn about the rich Native American history of North Carolina, and discover what it’s like to work in the field of archaeology. The experience wraps up with a fun excavation activity where students can sift through soil to find hidden “artifacts” of their own. It’s an engaging, interactive way to bring history to life and spark curiosity about the world beneath our feet.
