Bring your kids to view Sisi Hood’s Solo Exhibition 七転び八起き (Fall Down Seven Times, Get Up Eight) and craft with Sisi Hood herself! Join Sisi Hood and Hawaii's own, Critikos Minds Children's Museum for a kids craft day at Sisi Hood's solo exhibition, 七転び八起き (Fall Down Seven Times, Get Up Eight). Sisi's show revolves around her Asian culture and childhood nostalgia so it's only right to include the kids in the art and culure festivities that Sisi is providing in honor of her exhibition and AAPI Heritage Month all of May.For Craft Session 2, after viewing Sisi's Art Piece, "Damagotchi" the kids will learn about the tradition of Japan's Daruma Dolls and the significance and ritual of this goal-setting helper. Each child will be taken step by step to paint their own Daruma doll on canvas which will help them make a wish and give their doll the gift of sight!This activity is open for kids of all ages. 1 ticket = 1 canvas. There is sliding scale for tickets to ensure accessibility to all! Just message me if you can't afford entry and I'll be happy to accommodate you.
