We provide high quality full day child care and educational services that are free to low-cost. The Children’s Collective, Inc. is a non-profit human services corporation, established in 1972, whose primary mission is to improve life outcomes for children, youth and their families in South Los Angeles by providing high quality, comprehensive, educational and family support services. The Children’s Collective, Inc. provides a developmentally appropriate program that promotes school readiness, encourages a positive sense of self-worth, meets children’s nutritional needs, addresses family health and social service needs, and engages parents, schools and communities in its implementation. The Food Program works with our Child Development department to provide healthy meals and snacks to bothinfant/toddler and preschool programs at TCCI. All meals emphasize fresh fruits and vegetables, with limited salt and saturated fats. TCCI serves more than 225,000 breakfasts, lunches, and snacks each year. TCCI’s three community programs include Black Infant Health, CalFresh Healthy Living, and our FamilySource Center. Each program offers unique assistance aimed at strengthening the South Los Angeles Community in various capacities, including student achievement, financial wellness, family support, and health education services.
