I am a Russian-born concert pianist and distinguished piano teacher with worldwide experience both as a piano soloist and pedagogue. I presently teach for The Art off Piano Playing & Performing Arts Inc. in Chicago, an institution directed and founded by me in 1989. I bring a vast wealth of teaching and performing experience to my Piano Studio. My piano training with some of the world’s greatest pedagogues (which includes Tatiana Nickolayeva, Rosina Lhevinne, Arie Vardi, Ian Hobson, Anthony di Bonaventura and Rudolfo Caporally) have given me a sound technical and musical foundation, which I impart to each student. I was very fortunate to be the student of Madame Rosina Lhevinne at the Juilliard School in New York. I was her protege student, lived at her home 4 years and had daily lessons for 4-5 hours with this legendary teacher and absolutely amazing woman. Recognized for her profound interpretations of classical repertoire, Dr. Vance is a recipient of numerous international awards. Her teaching focuses on deep musical analysis and technical precision. A distinguished pedagogue with over 30 years of experience, Professor Kael specializes in Romantic-era piano literature. His students have gone on to perform in major concert halls worldwide.
