Denver Academy of Musical Arts provides the best private music lessons in piano, voice, drums, strings and guitar lessons. Students love coming to lessons because we make it fun! Parents love our facility because we offer a large comfortable waiting area. Our teaching rooms are equipped with the best Roland, Yamaha and Kawai equipment and we teach on baby grand pianos! We know that students learn at different rates. With that in mind, we don't make our students work through a specific method book series. This can be boring and unrewarding. Instead, we create lessons specifically for each student by pulling from several sources. We teach music reading, theory, scales and chord progressions right from the start. Fun Lessons We think learning should be fun and rewarding. That's why we incorporate games and props into lessons. (Ask us about Frog Jenga). Incentives, Incentives, Incentives We have fun incentives in place like our monthly raffle with 5 cash prizes! Students earn tickets to put in the raffle based on the amount of time that they practice each week. We count the tickets each month and post the results illustrated by a horse race derby. The winner is posted in our monthly newsletter. We also use the "Musical Ladder System" which is like karate belts for musicians. Students take a test and get a cool bracelet when they pass the test. There are several levels and each bracelet gets more prestigious with each level. The most prestigious incentive is our Exceptional Student of the Month award.
