THE CREEK is a non-profit after-school expanded learning program that offers academic support, a variety of enrichment activities, and community engagement for students to learn, socialize, develop new skills, and explore in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. • ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PROGRAMS • MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAMS • Why Families Choose The Creek Youth Center • We understand that childcare can often be a source of stress for families. At The Creek, our commitment is to care for your child with love and support, while providing a range of enriching activities to stimulate their growth. We ensure your child has a safe and positive experience every day. • The Creek Program • Social Emotional • Homework Support Our Elementary Program runs Monday-Friday from after school until 6:00 pm. We offer hands on learning experiences, STEAM projects, sports, arts and crafts, snacks, homework help, and Social-Emotional Learning Activities. Campuses at Buena Vista Elementary, Indian Valley Elementary, and Walnut Heights Elementary. Our Middle School Program runs Monday-Friday from after school until 6:00 pm. We offer snacks, homework help, music, cooking, science, arts and crafts, sports, and fun games. Campuses at Foothill and WCI. Our Foothill location is also open for after-school care for 5th-grade students from our neighboring elementary schools: Walnut Acres, Bandcroft, and Valle Verde. Students may walk or be dropped off during designated Creek hours. With our SEL curriculum we provide the tools to support our students with self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, relationship skills, and social awareness. The Creek provides a time for students to work on their homework during after school hours. During homework time we provide homework support as needed. Our daily indoor games focus on teamwork and character building while fostering positive friendships.
