Learn about two famous artists, then get step-by-step instructions & paint your own stained glass window using acrylic paint and plexiglass Art-Smart is designed with a short lesson about a famous artist, and then a related art project. Great for ages 8-12, come explore your creativity while channeling the styles of 2 famous artists: Frank Lloyd Wright & Piet Mondrian. At this event, you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy during the guided painting session. Professional artist, Rebecca Hayes of The Purple Hayes Gallery, will help you learn to mix colors, use rulers to create a geometric pattern on paper, and then trace your pattern onto your own plexiglass window. We will be using acrylic paint, so please dress accordingly as paint may adhere to clothing and stain. All art supplies and 2 hours of instruction will be provided. This event is sponsored by the Town of Clifton and The Art Guild of Clifton. The paint event will be held in the Clifton Town Hall (12641 Chapel Road, Clifton, VA).
