Osipova Ballet Academy is the keeper and successor of the best traditions of Russian classical ballet. The study of classical dance is the basic and main subject at the Academy. At the same time, the goal of the Academy is to educate students in various styles of modern dance. It makes future graduates competitive ballet dancers who are in demand at the best theaters worldwide. Osipova Ballet Academy We are deeply honored to announce that Osipova Ballet Academy Pre-Professional Division student Ekaterina Pichkova, age 15, under the direct mentorship of Founder & Artistic Director Ms. Marina Osipova, Ph.D has been selected as one of only four American girls to participate in the world-renowned Prix de Lausanne 2026. Recognized globally as “The Olympics of Ballet,” the Prix de Lausanne stands as the most prestigious and career-defining competition for aspiring professional dancers. For over 50 years, it has discovered and launched the careers of many of today’s leading ballet stars and remains a symbol of artistic excellence, opportunity, and global connection. This year, the Prix received 444 video applications from 43 countries, from which only 81 dancers (37 girls and 38 boys) representing 18 nations were chosen to compete in Lausanne, Switzerland. Ekaterina’s selection is a tremendous honor and a testament to her years of discipline, artistry, and perseverance, as well as to Marina Osipova’s outstanding mentorship, guiding Ekaterina since the age of eight. To be recognized among the world’s most talented young dancers is both a privilege and an achievement that reflects the highest international standards of technique, artistry, and dedication, the very values at the heart of Osipova Ballet Academy.
